30 Day Count Down

We are within 30 days of our kid arrivals – we have our ably goat items ready to go – anything we might need during birth (latex gloves, betadine, absorbent underpads, etc.) We need to finish building out the kidding area in the goat hut. Andrew built me a milking stand for Christmas. I know we will not need it for a little while, but its ready to go.

Last weekend we discovered rodents had eaten holes in our tarps cover our hay bales. Not all was lost, but there were several bales full of mold, mushrooms and moist, decaying hay. We were so disappointed.

On another note, I finally started and submitted my MDGA registration for our girls. We are now members and awaiting the further ‘directions’ for our paperwork for both Heather and Daisy. We had to register them, so we could keep the bloodline documented for them and their kids. We will register the kids once they arrive. On the kid note, both Heather and Daisy have started to bag up ever so slightly. We are so excited and have started to guess the number of kids per Heather and Daisy.
